Design Sprint workshopPut your idea
in front of people.
Put a consequential idea in front of customers while it is still easy to change. A focused week takes your team from a difficult question to a realistic prototype and firsthand feedback.

The format
What is the Design Sprint?
A Design Sprint is a five-day process for exploring a critical challenge, choosing a solution, building a realistic prototype and learning from customer interviews. BFD facilitates the GV-style format developed by Jake Knapp and the Google Ventures team.

When it helps
Make the next decision with something people can try.
When an idea stays in a slide deck, every stakeholder can imagine a different version. A sprint gives the team something concrete to discuss and customers something to react to. The aim is to learn while the direction is still inexpensive to change, before committing to a larger build.
- You have a specific product challenge or risky assumption to explore.
- You need customer feedback on an experience that does not exist yet.
- Stakeholders need evidence to choose whether to proceed, revise or stop.
What we’ll do together.
5 days. One focused question.
A format built around making progress.
- Monday
Map
Understand the challenge, bring the team's knowledge together and choose the part of the problem to focus on.
- Tuesday
Sketch
Explore possible solutions and make competing ideas concrete enough to compare.
- Wednesday
Decide
Choose what to test and map the experience into a storyboard for the prototype.
- Thursday
Prototype
Build a realistic representation of the chosen experience, focused on what customers need to try.
- Friday
Test
Learn from customer interviews and review the observations together to decide what comes next.
The takeaway
What you’ll leave with.
- A prototype focused on the question your team needs answered.
- Customer observations from testing that experience.
- A clearer decision about what to keep, change or investigate next.
Before we begin
Bring the right people.
We’ll bring the structure.
Bring a focused team and a decision-maker. Before the sprint, we’ll agree on the challenge and how to involve the right test participants. Recruiting and scheduling interviews need to be planned in advance; we’ll discuss responsibilities on the call.
Talk through your workshopA few useful answers
Before you book.
What is a GV-style Design Sprint?
It is the five-day sequence of mapping, sketching, deciding, prototyping and testing developed at Google Ventures. BFD facilitates the process; this is not a workshop delivered by GV or Jake Knapp personally.
Is the prototype production software?
No. A sprint prototype is designed to help people experience an idea and give useful feedback. It may look realistic without having the systems a production product needs behind it.
Does a Design Sprint prove product-market fit?
No single week can establish product-market fit. A sprint gives you focused evidence about a particular experience or assumption and helps you decide what to learn or build next.
What if we are still unsure who the customer is?
A Foundation Sprint may be a better starting point. It gives you time to align on the customer, problem and approach before investing a week in a prototype.
How much does the workshop cost?
We’ll scope the workshop around your team, preparation and facilitation needs. Book a call to discuss the format and get a proposal for your engagement.
Let’s start with your question.
Which assumption is holding up your next move?
Tell us what your team is trying to move forward. We’ll discuss the fit, the people and the preparation together.
